You may have heard before than a brand new baby that was born naturally and that is unaffected by medication, when given time and laid skin to skin on her mother's tummy-- can crawl, unassisted, and self latch to begin breastfeeding. This is an amazing feat. Babies are pre-programmed to breastfeed!! This not only ensures a great latch, but also the crawl helps the mother's uterus to contract and prevents bleeding.
Stand back and watch it happen. What an amazing miracle. I cannot wait to see this in real life someday!
