I recently found this blog post from one of my favorite bloggers-- Bellies and Babies, about how to assess cervical dilation without physically checking by vaginal exam. For those of you who are hoping to stay at home longer, I think this offers some great information that you may find helpful. Of course, this will not give you 100% accurate checks, but definitely would help give you a good guess about how far along things are.
